From Quarry to Port: The Marble Export Process

Block and slab production

Blocks are extracted at the quarry by diamond wire cutting and undergo crack inspection. At the factory they are sliced into slabs on gangsaw and block cutter (ST) machines, reinforced with epoxy and mesh, then polished and cut to the required size.

Packing and documents

The products are placed in heat-treated wooden crates to the ISPM-15 standard. The certificate of origin, bill of lading, packing list and laboratory analysis reports are prepared together with the shipment.

Delivery terms and transit time

Containers are transported from Afyonkarahisar to the ports of Izmir. One of the FOB Izmir, CIF / CFR or ex-factory options is used.

The sea voyage from Izmir takes 4 - 7 days to Europe, 8 - 12 days to the Gulf countries, 18 - 22 days to North America and 22 - 26 days to Asia.
